Digital Strategist
Overview:
Genuin is seeking a sharp, forward-thinking Digital and Engagement Strategist to help our customers and prospects turn community interaction into measurable results, including time on site, media revenue, conversion, advocacy, loyalty. As the Engagement Strategist, you'll lead the charge in building dynamic, vertical-video-powered communities inside retail and publisher apps that maximize engagement, membership, and impressions for retail and commerce brands.
You’ll craft innovative, branded and unbranded quests, challenges, and campaigns, all while playing a key role in both pre-sales strategy and post-launch community optimization. Your expertise in digital media and experience in media or publishing agencies will help us unlock new media revenue streams for our clients, particularly in the retail and commerce space.

Key Responsibilities:
Client Ideation & Strategy: Collaborate with clients and prospects across the retail and commerce sectors to develop and execute engagement strategies that leverage Genuin’s platform to ignite community activity and drive meaningful business outcomes.
Pre-Sales & Post-Sales Support: Support the pre-sales process by helping potential clients understand how Genuin can meet their engagement and media revenue goals. Post-sales, ensure successful community launches, offering ongoing optimization to keep engagement levels high.
Engagement Optimization: Continuously monitor and analyze engagement metrics, using data-driven insights to fine-tune strategies and enhance community interactions to maximize client ROI.
Incentive Program Development: Develop and manage incentive structures, loyalty programs, and creative strategies that convert audience engagement into measurable media revenue for clients.
Community Quests & Challenges: Ideate and design both branded and unbranded community challenges and quests that enhance engagement, build loyalty, and provide ongoing interaction opportunities for users.
Senior Client Engagement: Connect with senior stakeholders in retail, commerce & publisher companies to understand their goals, audiences, and challenges, offering big ideas and detailed plans to meet their specific needs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal teams (product, sales, marketing) to ensure seamless execution of engagement strategies that align with both client and platform goals.
Key Areas of Focus:
Content Strategy & Planning
- Develop data-driven content strategies aligned to customer goals, including engagement, watch time, completion rate, CTR, and revenue.
- Advise customers on optimal content formats, video length, cadence, and sequencing for vertical and in-player video experiences.
- Define content taxonomy, tagging, and metadata strategies to improve discovery, personalization, and contextual relevance.
- Recommend editorial calendars and content roadmaps grounded in audience insights and performance data.
Video Player Engagement Optimization
- Design in-player engagement strategies including end cards, playlists, chapters, CTAs, and mid-roll experiences.
- Optimize content placement, autoplay logic, and recommendation flows to increase session duration and repeat visits.
- Collaborate with product and UX teams to improve interaction points inside the video player and community surfaces.
- Guide customers on A/B testing content variations, creative treatments, and presentation formats.
Analytics & Performance Measurement
- Analyze video and community performance metrics including watch time, completion rate, drop-off points, CTR, and engagement events.
- Translate analytics into clear, actionable insights and strategic recommendations for customers.
- Establish benchmarks and success KPIs for content, engagement, and monetization performance.
- Continuously iterate strategies based on performance data, testing, and experimentation results.
Strategic Customer Collaboration
- Act as a strategic advisor to customers, not just an executor of tactics.
- Lead content strategy workshops, planning sessions, and performance reviews with customer stakeholders.
- Align customer content initiatives with Genuin platform capabilities and engagement best practices.
- Partner closely with internal teams including product, ad ops, engineering, and sales to ensure successful execution and measurable outcomes.
Skills and Experience
Community Engagement Expertise: Proven experience designing community strategies that drive member acquisition, participation, and loyalty through creative campaigns and initiatives.
Publisher or Media Agency Background: 5+ years of experience working at a social media platform or at a digital agency, with a deep understanding of audience engagement, media revenue generation, and how to structure interactive, community-driven campaigns.
Client-Facing Strategy Development: Ability to ideate with clients, especially Tier 2 retail and commerce brands, crafting custom engagement strategies that leverage Genuin’s platform to meet their business objectives.
Content & Campaign Strategy: Experience structuring branded and unbranded content campaigns that drive audience interaction, community engagement, and long-term customer loyalty.
Understanding of B2B2C Tech Solutions: Experience working with B2B2C platforms, especially those focused on digital media, content, and consumer engagement.
Incentive & Loyalty Programs: Strong background in creating effective incentive programs that reward community participation and foster ongoing engagement.
Pre-Sales & Post-Sales Optimization: Ability to support sales efforts by demonstrating the value of engagement strategies to potential clients, and later ensuring smooth community launches and ongoing optimization.
Strong Presentation & Storytelling Skills: Ability to present big ideas and strategic recommendations that resonate with clients and drive successful outcomes.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Comfortable using data and analytics to inform strategy, optimize engagement tactics, and measure success.
