About The Role

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Lead with extensive experience in mobile testing. This role primarily focuses on manual and automation testing for iOS and Android mobile applications. The role also considers frontend/backend automation and manual testing as a good-to-have skill but not a requirement.

As the QA Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality mobile applications by collaborating with cross-functional teams and implementing industry-leading mobile testing practices. Your role will focus on mobile app quality assurance and guiding the team in setting up automation frameworks for iOS and Android.

Work from Office: Mandatory

Education: B.Tech or M.Tech preferred

Experience: 4+ years in Quality Assurance

Key Responsibilities:

Mobile Manual Testing

1. Develop and implement test plans for manual testing of mobile apps across iOS and Android.
2. Perform UI/UX, functionality, compatibility, and device-specific testing for mobile applications.
3. Conduct exploratory testing to uncover issues that automated tests may not catch.
4. Collaborate with mobile developers and designers to ensure a seamless mobile experience.

Mobile Test Automation

1. Lead mobile test automation efforts using tools like Appium, Espresso (Android), and XCTest (iOS).
2. Design and implement mobile automation frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
3. Integrate mobile test automation into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, AWS CodeBuild) for seamless testing on every deployment.
4. Perform cross-device testing and ensure consistent performance across different devices and OS versions.

Frontend/Backend Automation (Good-to-Have)

1. Moderate automation testing experience for frontend apps using Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
2. Basic experience in backend API testing using Postman or RestAssured. Collaboration & Reporting
3. Track, prioritize, and manage defects using JIRA, ensuring quick resolution.
4. Provide mentorship to junior QA engineers in mobile testing and test automation.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve the mobile-first user experience.

Test Management & Performance Testing

1. Maintain test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test results.
2. Collaborate with mobile development teams to optimize performance and enhance user interactions.
3. Use tools like JMeter and k6 or something similar for performance testing mobile apps to ensure reliability under various conditions.

Technical Skills

1. Mobile Test Automation Tools: Appium, Espresso (Android), XCTest (iOS), UIAutomator or similar
2. Frontend Test Automation (Good-to-Have): Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or similar tools
3. API Testing (Good-to-Have): Postman, RestAssured, JMeter or similar tools
4. CI/CD & Version Control: Jenkins, Git, AWS CodeBuild, GitHub Actions or similar tools
5. Bug Tracking & Test Management: JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr or similar tools
6. Performance Testing: k6, JMeter or similar tools
7. Cloud Testing: Experience with AWS Device Farm or BrowserStack for cross-device testing or similar tools
